We need a couple of measurements.
Why do we ask?…
You’ll need to make a note of two measurements to have ready for your consultation.
BMI (Body Mass Index) and waist measurement are often requested to assess potential health risks associated with weight and fat distribution. BMI provides a general indication of whether a person is a healthy weight for their height, while waist measurement helps determine if excess fat is concentrated around the abdomen, which is associated with higher risks of certain health conditions. This helps us to choose the best treatment plan for you.
1. Calculate your BMI…
There are some exceptions as some people fall outside this formula, but it can give you an idea whether you could benefit from weight loss. This BMI Calculator is a tool to help you find out if you're a healthy weight and see whether starting a journey with Mova weight loss is for you.
2. Calculate your Waist Measurement…
Locate the points: Find the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hip bones.
Measure: Place the tape measure around your middle, halfway between these two points, which is typically just above your belly button.
Ensure proper fit: Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight. You should be able to comfortably fit your little finger under the tape.
Breathe out: Breathe out naturally and take the measurement. Do not suck in your stomach. At Mova nobody is judging you!
Record: Note the measurement in centimeters (cm) or inches, as needed.
